We deliberately keep your arrival day free. After a long journey, there is no reason to rush into an excursion when you have a new hotel, a tropical beach and nowhere else you need to be.

If you arrive early, our recommendation is simple: a light lunch, a swim and an easy afternoon together. The island can wait until tomorrow.

Take your time over breakfast, discover your hotel, swim together in the lagoon or simply find your favourite spot beneath the palms. Your first full day is deliberately left free to enjoy the surroundings you chose for your honeymoon.

We recommend resisting the temptation to start sightseeing immediately. A honeymoon should have space for the moments that were never scheduled - a long swim, an afternoon nap, cocktails by the beach or watching the sun go down together.

If you would like to make the day a little more special, this can also be a good moment for a couples' spa treatment, a private dinner or another romantic experience arranged around your hotel.

Tomorrow, you begin discovering Mauritius beyond the resort.

Today, leave the coast behind and discover one of the most visually striking sides of Mauritius.

Travel through the island's southern landscapes, combining volcanic scenery, sacred places, lush viewpoints and the extraordinary colours of Chamarel. The route can include Grand Bassin, Black River Gorges, Chamarel Waterfall and the Seven Coloured Earth, with time for a relaxed lunch along the way.

For a honeymoon, we recommend keeping the programme balanced rather than turning the day into a race between attractions. Your private driver allows the pace to remain flexible, so you can spend longer at the places you enjoy most and shorten the stops that interest you less.

It is also a good day for photographs, but not every moment needs to be behind a camera. Some of the best views are worth simply standing still for.

After returning to the hotel, keep the evening easy. Tomorrow is deliberately slower.

After yesterday's island discovery, today is about slowing down and enjoying each other's company.

Sleep a little longer, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and spend the morning exactly as you wish - beside the lagoon, by the pool or simply enjoying your hotel.

If you would like to add something special, this is an ideal day for a couples' spa experience. Many Mauritius resorts offer beautiful wellness settings, but the experience varies considerably from one hotel to another. When wellness is important to your honeymoon, we can take this into account when recommending where you stay.

The rest of the day remains yours. Perhaps enjoy afternoon tea, a sunset drink or arrange a romantic dinner for the evening.

We intentionally place this slower day between two experiences. A memorable honeymoon should not be measured by how many places you managed to visit, but by how much time you actually had to enjoy being there together.

Today, exchange the shoreline for the open lagoon and experience Mauritius from the water.

Set out on a catamaran cruise for a relaxed day of sailing, swimming and snorkelling, with lunch served on board and plenty of time to simply enjoy the scenery together.

There are several very different catamaran experiences around Mauritius, and we do not believe every couple should automatically be sent on the same one. Depending on where you are staying, the season and the atmosphere you prefer, we can recommend the coast and sailing experience that best fits your honeymoon.

Some couples prefer a lively day on the water, while others are looking for something quieter and more intimate. Tell us what feels right for you and we can shape the experience accordingly.

Back at the hotel, keep the evening beautifully simple. After a day of sunshine, swimming and sailing, dinner and a quiet evening together may be all you need.

Today, step away from the resort for a glimpse of everyday Mauritius.

Rather than following another classic sightseeing circuit, spend some time discovering the island through its people, flavours and local atmosphere. Depending on where you are staying and the day of the week, we can shape the experience around a colourful market, a coastal village, local food or a few places we think are genuinely worth stopping for.

This is the kind of day we prefer not to make too rigid. Mauritius changes from one region to another, and market days, opening times and your hotel location can all influence what makes the most sense.

Stop for lunch somewhere that gives you a taste of Mauritian cooking and take the opportunity to try some of the flavours that reflect the island's Creole, Indian, Chinese and European influences.

Then return to your hotel with enough of the afternoon left to enjoy the beach together. Sometimes the best way to discover Mauritius is not to see another attraction, but simply to spend a few hours closer to the way the island actually lives.

Your final full day in Mauritius is completely yours.
