You will get through the visit a meaningful experience of Mauritius history and the legacy of Indentured Labourers. These people set foot on the island to mainly work in the sugarcane plantations after the abolition of slavery. Continue the stroll in the past to L’Aventure du Sucre in Pamplemousse. A museum with interactive experiences is housed in an old Sugar Factory. You will get an insight into the history of sugar production, as well as the impact of this industry on the island's economy and society. End the visit with a sugar and rum tasting session. Back to Port-Louis: Stroll freely at the Caudan Waterfront which offers a blend of shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences, all within a scenic waterfront setting. It's a bustling location that showcases the dynamic spirit of Port Louis. Lunch is not included in this tour, therefore you can either choose to have lunch after the visit at L’Aventure du Sucre Restaurant or grab something to eat while strolling in the Caudan Waterfront.
